Here we are: in Edinburgh!
Day one: excitement and challenge...
We met at 6.00 a.m. of a rainy morning and left for Bergamo, sleepy and excited. At 12.00 we arrived at Edinburgh airport and met Lee, took a black cab to the city centre
Once at school we had a sandwich in the Common Room, after that... placement test!
Finally Lee guided us around Edinburgh: the weather was sunny and quite warm and the city was really gorgeous ;-)

Day Two: morning with host families
in the afternoon Calton Hill - the Athens of the North
Edinburgh gave itself the title "Athens of the North" to express its growing importance. Throughout the 1700s the architecture of ancient Rome had been the inspiration for design building. In 1755 travellers brought back with them sketches with ancient ruins in Athens, such as the Parthenon and the Acropolis. The fashion for tis style of architecture grew.
